Al-Jazeera TV Station:
We Don't Have 'New" Bin Laden Tape DOHA, Qatar (AP)--The Arab satellite station Al-Jazeera said Tuesday that it doesn't have a new tape of Osama bin Laden. Secretary of State Colin Powell told a Senate panel earlier Tuesday that the station would be showing a statement from a man the U.S. believes is the terror leader. Al-Jazeera has aired several such tapes purporting to show bin Laden, but it denied it will air a new tape of bin Laden speaking to the Iraqi people. Powell said he read a transcript showing that bin Laden would say he's in " partnership with Iraq." Powell told the Senate Budget Committee the tape shows why the world should be worried about Iraq's ties to terror. Join our Daily News Headlines Email Digest
