Israeli occupation forces kill 8 Palestinians in Gaza attack's

08/30/06 "Information Clearing House" -- -- Israeli troops killed eight Palestinians in two air attacks and a direct shooting in Gaza on Wednesday, Palestinian hospital said.

Among those killed was a 14-year-old boy who was shot dead. A 30-year-old man was killed by a heavy caliber bullet to the head as he was on the rooftop of his house.

One of those killed Wednesday was said to be a member of the Palestinian resistance, and another person was reportedly shot while trying to launch a rocket-propelled grenade at the Israeli invasion troops.

Troops also flattened crops, destroyed greenhouses and chicken coops and uprooted dozens of trees on Wednesday, residents said. The army had no comment on the report about the destruction.

About 17,000 people have been without power and running water since the operation began, residents said. The Israeli army said an electricity pylon was hit but has since been repaired.
