Germany has betrayed the Non-Proliferation Treaty

Desiring to further the easing of international tension and the strengthening of trust between States in order to facilitate the cessation of the manufacture of nuclear weapons, the liquidation of all their existing stockpiles, and the elimination from national arsenals of nuclear weapons and the means of their delivery pursuant to a Treaty on general and complete disarmament under strict and effective international control.

- - The above extract, from the preamble of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), makes amply clear the duty of treaty signatories to limit the proliferation of nuclear weapon delivery systems.

In the late 1990´s, Germany gifted two, and sold one, Dolphin class submarines, with forward compartments modified, at Israel’s request, for the launch of long range cruise missiles. Cruise missiles are first strike weapons, the Soviet Union always said so and usage to date has confirmed that. It is a weapon for sneaking up on an adversary. Suggestions of it being a second strike weapon, rather than the first strike instrument that it obvious is, are fatuous nonsense.

Negotiations are underway for an additional two submarines. These, and older non-cruise capable subs, will make quite a fleet for a Lilliputian country with no maritime enemies. Last time the excuse for modifying the subs was to facilitate frogmen operations, what will it be this time? Will the list of modifications grow, perhaps including the propulsion spaces? If so, we can conjecture they intend to retrofit a nuclear power plant when they get the subs home, so that they can cruise the Seven Seas blackmailing the world.

Israel is asking to be gifted these subs as well. German public opinion is resolutely against taxpayer gifts to Israel; they feel, quite rightly, the country has paid enough. Reparations were finished decades ago, and yet Israel still has its hand in Germany’s pocket, right up to the elbow. Apart from a handful of octogenarians, no-one alive today is remotely responsible for Nazi era crimes. Guilt is not genetic and it cannot be inherited from grandparents. Germany does have a continuing responsibility, however, and that is not to facilitate any nuclear warmongering.

Zionism is a national socialist enterprise. They have conquered a land, dispossessed the native inhabitants, and imprisoned them in ghettos. Right wing politicians routinely call the Palestinians worms and other names, and call for their ethnic cleansing. Such feelings of racial superiority are the norm in Israel. In any other civilized country they would be prosecuted for such utterances. Germany, of all countries, should know better than to provide military support for such a state.

German politicians are careless with both their own and their country’s safety. By gifting the primary component of a submarine launched, nuclear first strike system, to an outlaw state, they are holding Germany hostage to the results. If Israel uses the system to make a surprise nuclear strike, then the victim will be entitled to revenge on Germany. If it escalates to WW3, then Russia will incinerate the length and breadth of Germany. They have promised this.

The submarine builder would be well advised to revise the trial transcript of the crematoria manufacturer. He cried innocence, but the case went against him and he got a stiff prison sentence. For nuclear war (assuming anyone survives) the probable penalty will be death. Likewise politicians, they need to understand the pitfalls of their policy, if things go awry. By pitfall, I mean the one under the trapdoor.

German politicians tell us they have learned the lessons of history, but examination of the facts indicates otherwise. If you give a madman an axe and he runs amok, then you are responsible as well. They could argue that Israel, as a NPT non-signer, somehow exempts Germany from its own obligations, but that is playing with legal semantics. Germany has betrayed the NPT.
